We went to the Kane County Flea Market today, or as Troy called it "An over sized D.I. full of @%!?..." (The D.I. is a Utah store like a Good will) I guess he was feeling a little bratty and really didn't want to be there? But whatever, I love that kind of stuff, and he eventually lightened up after a few hours of searching through other peoples junk for treasure... Anyway, we met Ruth and Amanda there, and even though it was hot and the kids were all in desperate need of a nap, we had a good time.
Ruth called these "Plan B" and from a recent assessment of our finances, these are probably the closest I'll ever get to implants!!! I asked Troy if he wanted a pair for the road, but he felt it wasn't necessary.
I love, love, loved this chest- but due to a recent assessment blah-blah-blah...
All and all it was a good time at the market.

So anyway, last night we celebrated my friend Amanda's birthday at a restaurant called (Riva)
It was, as Chelsea would say a "Swanky" place. It was a great time, and really the only thing missing was Chelsea, who was trapped in her elevator and therefor couldn't make it! I really crack myself up! Go check out her blog to find out just what I'm talking about...

Anyway, check out the picture behind us. The girls in the pic are holding wine glasses, and Amanda and Ruth are imitating them with invisible wine glasses, just in case you where wondering...
And I shared the Carpaccio (pictured below) with Ruth. It was the best Carpaccio I have ever eaten! I can't wait to go back again! For dessert I had Tiramisu, which I should remember I really don't like! For some reason it always sounds so good to me when I read about it on the menu, but then I hate it every time I get it! DUH...

don't think I am totally uncultured, but will you tell me what caprece salad is and what carpaccio (sp?) is? (: It all looks and sounds good, but I'm clueless! (: Thanks Megan!

K- The Caprese (kuh-pray-cee) is just tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and usually fresh basil with oil and balsamic vinegar, but this place used a pesto sauce in place of the basil. The Carpaccio (car-pach-eo) is RAW filet mignon sliced paper thin and served with white truffle oil and asiago cheese. YUMMY...
Thanks for posting these wonderful pictures, Megan! Next time the flea market is a girls date ONLY. OK? Thanks for an awesome birthday!
I wish I could have hung out with you girls----ugh, I miss you guys! You were right though, I was totally stuck in my elevator. I was trying to carry too many gold bars upstairs and it totally got stuck.
For the record, I know you were actually quite bummed that I wasn't there to keep you out late and get you in trouble with Troy!
